Saturday, I had the pleasure of taking MAC in NEOhio (Mike) & his son Christian to a couple of my favorite farm ponds, basically in search of an elusive "Fish Ohio" bluegill (9" or better) for Christian. I told them that I felt pretty sure we would nail one on this trip. As it turned out, we all caught more Fish Ohios than others! Most seemed to measure 9-9 1/2" & the largest was 9 3/4". Fish were caught on woolly worms, beetles, bunny strips, gurglers, & whatever else Mike & Christian had tied. Christian got his FIRST Fish Ohio gill as the first fish of the day. Later, we moved to another pond, (the "bass factory" as I call it), where we continued to catch large gills, & the Father & Son team of Mike & Christian began catching bass left & right! All fish were released, I forgot my camera, but Mike took lots of pictures, and it was just a fantastic trip.
Thanks to Mike & Christian for making a good day better by their presence.
Mike
