Had a great time for a couple hours yesterday afternoon. I worked the south side of the big lake with a tandem rig. #10 Gurgler and #14 GRHE nymph. Caught about twenty bluegills ranging from 3" to 7". Caught most of them on the nymph but had tons of strikes on the Gurgler. Gonna tie up some smaller Gurgle-Pops and see if I can increase the topwater hits. Yellow seems to be the color. Saw a lot of big Carp cruising the shallow shoreline again but no takers. Also saw a few LMB and a 2'6" Gar but couldn't get them to take either. The Bluegills would scatter everytime the LMB and Gar cruised by. Anyway looks like the fish are starting to bite!
