How did you find faol

I was just wondering how everyone one found this awesome site faol
did you just stumble across it, friend tell you about it, advertisement??
or some other way?

Search is my friend!
When I have a new interest, I have to learn as much as possible to see if it is something I want to spend time/money on, and to make sure I start off going in the right direction.
I did a net search on fly fishing and FAOL was near the top of the list. Once I started reading, I was hooked.

I wanted to find a way to tie flies using the braid and weave method. Found Al Campbells methods and just sort of transferred over from there. Did I learn to weave yea do the tiger weave better then any other style LOL

I was in the process of my first rod building prodject. I was reading everything I could find on the web.

I was just surfing the internet on fly fishing and found FAOL. Lurked in the background for quite some time and ran across a post from "ohiotuber" and noticed he lived within 30 miles of where I grew up when I lived in Ohio, so, I e-mailed him to see if maybe he was "kin" to some classmates I graduated with. He was no "kin" but we shared some familiar water that I had fished while growing up. He convinced me that I should join FAOL and I joined "Friends of FAOL". So, you all have "ohiotuber" to blame for being stuck with me and as long as JC and LF keep this "home" as clean as they do, I will stay! I love it here!
