I personally find flyfishing something the wife and I can both do --and can travel all over the world doing it. I am happy to see more women get involved -- and since flyfishing is a "no contact" sport--it is one of the few sports men and women can do together.

I'm with you. VEE is my fishing partner and a hardcore fly fisher. No making up excuses to go fishing, my partner is ready before I am usually, and the streamside lunches are not to be believed. I love it.

I think you guys underestimate the spending capacity of the female gender.
Take a women of the natural inclination to gather (ie: shop) and unleash her on a sport that already has too many gear and doodads to being with.
