Would appreciate if anyone could advise on good time and location to fish and contacts of local english speaking fly fishing guides in Hokkaido, preferably near to bigger cities in Hokkaido such as SOUNKYO or SAPPORO. Thanks in advance!

Hey fly_caster99,
I have a friend named Tanaka that lives in Japan and he sent me a couple sites to check out when I was considering a trip there. Don't know if they'll help you, but here you go!

In 1980 "Jimmy Cater" visited Japan and fished OSHINO (very popular spring creek in Japan) then he a caught very nice brown that day. It's pretty nice place to fish. Read Vol. 51-54 in The Life as a Fly Fisherman on Ken's sight.
Ken's sight also has a significant amount of English translation on it.

Hope this helps get you started.
Kindest regards and fish on!
