Castwell's lament sounds like burn-out to me. It is a cry of frustration,"Don't you get it?"

When a person sets up to dispense wisdom, today, he sets up for some frustration. The problem is that every second brings a new innocent, beautiful, but ignorant soul into the world. Our teachers face a continuous supply of new first graders, new second graders,... new freshmen (Redundant, eh?),.. new hires... all novices. In this case, AKA the human condition, I try to enjoy the newness, new faces, etc. It would would be a boring world if every thought was already thought, and every song was sung, and every equation was solved, and every discovery was discovered, and if all we did was walk around showing off how much we know. I like this one better.
