    Default Scientific Anglers

Apparently the last time I serviced my SA System 2 reel I lost a small part, the drag knob lock ring.
I could have lived without it but I sent them a e-mail asking about how go about getting a replacement.
A week later, not only did they send me the missing part free of charge, but they sent an extra for the next time
So here is a public thanks to 3m Scientific Anglers for their fine service

SA is a great company with a true pro of a PR/marketing guy. I use nothing but Mastery series lines, leaders, and tippet...with the occassional spool of Rio Fluoroflex purchased in between. And I'm usually not very brand loyal, but prefer to mix and match what I like best in various products.

I love Scientific Anglers. With one exception, every fly-rod, reel, line and leaders I own are all Scientific Anglers.

I second the SA fly line kudos! On a side note, I was at a big box store that was closing out their fly fishing section, I saw a SA 8wt fly rod for a real low price, but thought I had enough 8 wt rods, so I passed it up. Went back the next week and the rod had been reduced to 13.00. Well, I couldn't pass that up so I bought it for a back-up. Took the rod out and was very impressed!
The question I have is that I have not been able to find anyone that sells just the rods. I'm looking for a 9ft 9wt, any one know if this size rod is available?
