You guys need to keep quiet about the wax worms.

They are truly deadly on just about ANY game fish out there. Trout find them irresistable if you head hook them with a light jig and let them drift down the current.....

As an aside about molding small jigs. Jann's Netcraft sells already done 1/100 ounce jigs, ironically they are called 'trout heads'. The sell for around $20/100 (you can also get 1/80 and 1/64 for the same price). Having done the whole jig making thing, I'd recommend buying the really little ones. They are incredibly hard to mold well with hobbiest equipment, and it can get frustrating real fast to have to clean the lead off of 90% of the hooks so you can reuse them.....and 10% success rate with a 1/100 ounce mold is a 'good' ratio....

As for jigs smaller than 1/100, I'd just use a bead on a small jig hook. Would work as well and be MUCH less expensive to produce (and much less frustraiting). Small aberdeen jig hooks are cheap, as are the beads.....and you could use glass, metal, or plastic to get different weights....

Just some thoughts.

Your take and mileage may vary....

Shhhhhhh!!!!! about the wax worms, wouldn't want them purrreestas to faint on us......

Good Luck!
