Hello to all,

I was fishing out of Rusty Gates lodge last fall, and I picked up some dry flys tied with deer hair bodies. One of these flys was called Rusty's Spinner, another Robert's Drake. This body style really looks good, the deer hair is tied parrallel to the shank, and by varying the tension on the thread you can create a really nice tapered body that really looks buggy. It took some time to get this down, but these flies are a lot of fun to tie. I have never seen this style of tying in any fly tying books or web sites. Is there a name for this style? Is it only used on northern MI.?
Thanks for any replies.
