I just received my new Rio Clouser in 4 wt.
I have not fished it yet, but it seems that it might be good for tossing regular flies into the wind.
Has anyone tried this line yet?

I've got a Rio Coldwater Clouser line on an 8 weight and I love it. Chalk up one happy customer.

As stated previously, you will be very happy with that line. RIO is excellent & I have used the Clouser line on a 7wt & an 8 wt...happy with both.

FAOL..All about caring, sharing, & good friends!!
Great line all the way around. I'm always throwing big, ugly, heavy, air-resistant bugs for my lake fishing. I have coldwater, Rio Clouser lines on my #4 weight, #6 weight and two #9 weights. Clouser lines, don't leave home without them. 8T
I have a WF8F Clouser with the Lumilux, (glow in the dark), coating that I use on the Susquehanna for Smallmouth.
It is EXCELLENT!
I sure wish they still made it with that coating. It's amazing how much help it is to see your flyline between 10:00pm - 1:00am on a wide dark river.
Anyone have a comparison of the Rio Outbound and the Rio Clouser?
I could not have said it any better. It is the only line I use on my 8 wt.Originally Posted by EdD
