Ken's trip to Pyramid was a HUGE success. Fish were spotted and
pestered and most important....the debri of "society" was temporarily
shed while pestering piscatorial targets and flat out ENJOYING the
company of some very fine gentlemen (term used rather loosely. ).
Ken, Bill, Don, Jeff, Paul, Jack, and Pat made for as fine a crew as
could be desired.
The weather was grand with little wind and warm clear skies
generally. According to Betty and Ed M. this was a bit detrimental to
the "catching" part of the trip. This was evidenced at Professor's
Point, by the entertaining value of WATCHING cutty's follow and
generally refuse most attempts at pestering, though several FF'ers
found success on the first day. The obstacle of lethargic piscatorial
partners was rightly trounced by Sat PM. as Paul chose a fine spot to
eyeball some participants. These were indeed more co-operative.
Buzzers and bobbers were generally accepted. Ken even succeeded
in attaining our "dinner" fish, which was an outstanding cullinary
delight. Sunday AM found us returning to Paul's Pool for a few
more "dances" before we took leave of Pyramid, very much appreciative
of the relaxing nature of nature at her best.
We have NO idea why ladders and such paraphanalia are in such
demand for a trip to this pond. ALL of OUR fish were pestered while
standing on a rock, standing high and dry on a beach, or while
sitting high and dry in Bill's chair on the beach!
I think a grand time was had by all.
THANKS Ken....
