Here's another Forecast 6'6" 2wt, but a 2-piece this time. These are such sweet casting little rods and I'm really enjoying building them. I tried a different thread on this one and would like your opinions. It's Gudebrod Candy Apple Red w/o color preserver. I think it looks just like a candy apple when the light hits it, and it seems to go well with the blue blank.

Also shown is my first attempt to make a bag. Someone gave me an old (60's) Sears portable that weighs about 387 pounds (it just seems that way cuz it's so heavy), so I cleaned and oiled it, bought some felt from the fabric store, and done learnt me how to sew all by myself. I have never sewed in my 56 years, so I have a ways to go, but rod bags aint rocket science. For $2 per yard, I can make four bags from one yeard of material for these short rods(first one's in the trash already, but that's how I learn). Thanks to Judy next door for showing me how that bobbin really works. The direction leave much to be desired, and it sure could use a light. I think this was the "economy" model, so I brought up my fly tying light to see what I was doing.
