You are soooo right! We have been trying to quit biting our nails for a looooong time. Every once in awhile we get a nice thumbnail. Boy do we sure miss it when weakness prevails again!

Like anything else, finger nails can be over done. Like many other characteristics, too little nail (bit off at the nub and ragged as heck) isn't good and too much nail (Fu ManChu style, six-twelve inches) isn't good. I favor a clear section away from the finger about a 1/16th of an inch. Jagged, sharp edges are a killer of good flies. 8T
If had 8 thumbs..I wouldn't worry about one being jagged...I'd use it to cut steakOriginally Posted by Eight Thumbs

Hi Duckster,
With eight thumbs, I already have enough trouble without allowing one of them to RANDOMLY become sharp and jagged. I'm much more likely to accidentally cut my own throat or thread than a steak. I'm dangerous enough without a potentially lethal weapon attached to a digit. 8T
