Hey Gigmaster; What I was referring to as hard foam are pre-made popper bodies that you can purchase. It seems that they are made of styrofoam which has been pressed to a hardened shape. I purchased a few in various sizes to try, for I am not set up with an area for making my own dremel bugs at this time.

There's a whole series on poppers in the panfish archive by Randy Fratzke.

    David,
I think they are made by Wapsi....? 4 sizes....? Maybe a sponsor here carries'em....?
Once in a great while, when we are not being our usual LAZY self, we'll do as you say and "under color" a few on top.
They ARE the ones that seem to get "stolen" from the box first though.
