    Default Fly Size

There is no definitive size as bass can be caught on small trout flies as well as 4 inch streamers. You can't go far wrong with wooly buggers from #12 up to # 2 or 4.

Thanks Speck, I plan to go and pick up a few this friday. I really want to focus on getting better at fly fishing, "AND" fishing for Smallmouth's this year

    Default Smallmouth on the Fly

You're welcome and good luck. While your at the shop pick up some clouser minnows and a crayfish pattern. Some crayfish patterns are so realistic they don't work very well but a pattern with rabbit strip claws can be effective. Smallmouth bass love crayfish!
