Thanks again johnsour ... the video told it all. I have water similar to that here though it's only salmon and steelhead/trout water. Now I understand the comment I heard, 'may be the last pristine river left in the US.' Good fishing to you friend and if you ever find yourself out my way, get in touch ahead of time and we'll go froth up some water around here.
Cheers,

Apologies, but I don't know alot about smallies in Missouri---yet.
But I do own a copy of 200 Missouri Smallmouth Adventures by Chuck Tryon.
"You must not be too greedy in catching your said game (fish), as in taking too much at one time...That could easily be the occasion of destroying your own sport and other men's also." Juliana Berners (1450)
I live within 20 minutes of one of the nations most widely recognized smallmouth rivers. Every year around late May mid June the mayfly hatch creates some amazing smallmouth action along the bluffs of Wilson and Wheeler Lake on the TN river. Some of the feeder creeks are excellent smallmouth streams year round.
I love this place!
If you ever come to Alabama!
