Recently I have been browsing in Mary Orvis Marbury's 'Favorite Flies and their Histories' and although I really enjoy it, the lack of recipes is a bit frustrating, especially those of the Bass flies. I wondered if there was a book giving the recipes of these colourful 19th century creations.I don't necessarily want to tie them, but I enjoy reading the recipes of flies that catch my eye (a peculiar vice, but they can't jail you for it.).
Another interest lately has been in tying Glanrhos flies to imitate the various UK mayflies. No problem there, plenty of info in various books I already have.
But, I have decided to include in my list a series imitating North American mayflies and I was hoping someone could give me the name of a good angler's book with the colours. A web site could be useful as well.
