I bet we're not the only boomers to have lived that exact same lifestyle. I tried and tried to not work so much but greed is an insidious mistress. I did manage to watch my health fairly well. Quit doing some things I knew weren't at all compatible with the hours I was keeping. Sleep deprivation was normal to me and that went on for many years. To this day I'm not able to sleep until I'm really tired.

On the bright side, I'm semi-retired and managed that by the time I was 54. Target retirement was 45 but again greed driven by self inflicted bills kicked in. Looking back I think I'd rather have had the time to myself than the headaches of the blood money.

I volunteer too and stats say that's healthy. When I retired I got lazy for a couple of years, snapped out of it and began doing more. New things are very important it seems. I need to fish more though.

Cheers,
