Hook: Size 16 standard dry fly (Mustad 94840)
Thread: 6/0 (Orvis brown or green)
Tail: Blue dun hackle fibers
Body: Stripped hen hackle quill, dyed olive
Wing: Blue dun hackle ? one to two sizes larger (12-14). 5 to 6 tight wraps (don?t take up much space ? leave room for thorax & head ? once wrapped and tied off, pinch hackle top and bottom, then figure 8 with thread to define spinner wings)
Thorax: Olive synthetic dubbing (superfine) figure 8 around wings
Tying instructions: Pages 134-136 A.K.?s Flybox, A.K. Best.
