    Default International Fly Swaps FYI

Don't forget that when you are swapping flies internationally, you need to fill out a "Customs Declaration" form at the Post Office. Heres a sample:

Could somebody make this a sticky???

I havent seen any international swaps going for a while, have there been any? seems most people seem to think it is eityher too hard, or too expensive. Shame really, I enjoy it.

I have some people in my 4 swaps to make it international. When you fill the form out make it a gift.

It has not been a problem to do.

    Default International Swap

Several year ago I participated in one of the largest International Swap based out of France. When sending flies to France I was told I didn't have to do anything but send them. NO PROBLEM. What I am agravated about is when a swapmeister in another country or wherever holds a swap he doesn't respond to participants questions about what we are supposed to do. That is very aggravating.

I send a lot of flies internationaly. The form only takes a minute to fill out. I list mine as a gift with $0 value. John
I wish you all everlasting flies and tight lines.

    Default INSTRUCTIONS....

The SWAPMEISTER should inform the participants of this.

Not nitpcking but SWAPPERS swapping internationally should already know this too!!

It certainly isnt the end of the world if one doesnt fill a form out.

you need to get over it.
either your flies will reach their destination or they'll be returned to you.

    or, perhaps, confiscated at customs...

    Default I am.....

I am over it but the point I am trying to get across is that all of this should be covered by the swapmeister in the swap insructions. Nothing should be assumed. I'm not the only one that sent flies before they knew about the customs declaration. I have run over 30 swaps on this and on other forums and make sure all bases are covered. Some of us take our swaps serious and nothing is humorous about any of this.
    Thanks......
