After hot dyeing necks, how do you prevent the skins from shrinking and drying up?

Try rubbing a little glycerin into the skin side. It is a water soluble liquid available from pharmacies that is used as a base for making liquid medicines. Just rub in a little with your fingers on the neck while still wet and then blot up whatever stays shining on the surface. The mix of water and glycerin will stop the skin from drying hard.
