Another Convert!! "The Castwell Knot"

I was just introduced the "Castwell Knot" by WarrenP and though sceptical I agreed to let him force it upon me! (As I was his house guest I had no choice as I had no desire to "sleep in the 'shed' if I did not try it!!) Furled leader of 4lb.Berkley "Vanish Transition" and 5 foot of 4X Flourocarbon tippet. An afternoon of breaking off several flys on the rocks and catching 5 trout has made me a believer, I now kneel before the great Poo Pah and ask forgiveness for my heathen ways. Thus enlightened I will carry his message throughout the land and make it known to all.

All right, I give up, quit, throw in the towel, surrender. I will give it a try next time out. If it will hold all those lunkers you guys catch then it will certainly hold the pan fish I will be going after.

The Rabbit (fly line) goes over the hill (leader, just ahead of the loop), runs behind the tree (fly line) and down the rabbit hole (Leader loop). I was using a Climax 5.5 lb. tippet and broke off 2 flys hung up in the rocks!

Hey, don't fight it. I've been using the thing for over half a century and still waiting for it to fail. I'm not trying to promote it. Use those other, well known popular knots, they won't fail under most situations. I only put the name on it because there didn't seem to be one.
