Hi folks, RW here

I came across a line the other day reading one of my books on the literature of the sport. I'm more into that sort of thing now than I am the "how to", "where to" and gadgetry of fly fishing. I've been there and done that. So here's a sentence from a very good article written years ago. See if you can figure out what it means. Later I'll post the rest of the paragraph and the author who wrote it and see how close some of you can come to his original meaning. No prize. Just a phrase to prompt discussion.....Here it is.

"A trout represents more than itself..and more important, it also does represent itself"
