Thread: Question on spine

  1. #1

    Default Question on spine

just making sure i'm finding the right thing. When i check for spine....if i rotate the blank with my fingers and apply pressure, it seems to want to jump into a spot. i marked the spot with some tape and it continues to jump into the same spot. Am i finding the right thing... i thought i read something that it was supposed to roll gently into a spot and not want to leave it and it wasn't supposed to jump.

    Ripper,

You're feeling the spine alright. As you press on the actual spine, it will try to jump around to the other side. So, when it comes to rest the spine is on the bottom and your finger is opposite it. The reason it is "jumping" instead of gently rolling is because you have a very strong spine while some are barely perceptable.
