    Gordon MacQuarrie.
In a way, through his humorous and often moving prose on trout waters, I have fished with him.

Larry Lafon. He got me interested years ago and I've never had the opportunity to fish with him.

Natalie Portman or Angelina Jolie or the like. I don't care if they could fly fish or not.

Good to my word, I will take my turn.

Norman MacClean tells us, "...all the first rate fishermen on the Sea of Galilee were fly fishermen and John, the one Jesus loved, was a dry fly fisherman." In spit of that, I will skip the apostle because I would be too tempted to use fishing the way businessmen use golf, as a means to an end. I see myself catering to the saint all day letting him use my new Orvis and my best flies and giving him the first cast at all the good pools. As the sun is setting, I sidle up to to him and say,"So Johnny, we had a good day, din't we? Can you put in a good word for me with..."

My choice is AJ McClane since he is a lifelong hero of mine. I always read his monthly article in Field and Stream first. I loved the range of fishing he covered-one month on a trout stream, next month on a bonefish flat, then off to South Ameraca for Dorado. We are going to the Keys to fly fish Bones, Tarpon, Permit, Redfish, Snook, and Trout. Capt. Gary Rehm (Knot Right Now) will be our guide.

Lefty Kreh. Or anyone that has spent some time fly fishing. I have learned most on my own from either here, or what I have read, or on the water. It is a slow go so a day with an experienced angler would be priceless.

Chris, I'd fish with you any day and it would be MY privilege! I imagine you have quite the stories to tell...

The old Sports Afield writer, Jason Lucas. The first articles I read about fly fishing for bluegills were written by him. That was probably in the '50s or very early '60s when literally NO-ONE fly fished in Ohio, & fly fishing in general was trout, salmon, et al. I consider Jason a warm water fly fishing pioneer.
