Thread: Old Flies

    Default Old Flies

This week's 'Old Flies' article by Eric Austen is superb. I have always been very unsatisfied with the usual two wing slips for wet flies and no matter how careful seemed to end up with a superb propeller.
Keep the wing slips for the show flies. This article is very useful to me in particular and I think anyone who wants to tie and use many of the traditional wet flies in the water.

I guess I'll be cheer number 3. Great article. Love looking at Eric's flies in the usual column, but really like the how to's of these great flies.
