Not too long ago, there was a post on here about what knots to use to connect backing to flyline. And it read into "LOSING" very expensive flylines to LARGE fish. In preparation of returning back to the chesapeake bay area soon, i decided to take this into further consideration. I personally used a nail knot, that is, Until I read the post. Once I pulled my rods out of the closet and actually got to tugging on them pretty darn hard, I was able to pull the flyline right out of the nail knot. Hmm, I thought. So i tied on the Albrights knot as I read in one of the posts. I did a quick search through one of my old fishin books and located tying instructions for it. Once i was complete, Oila! What a nice knot. STRONG bugger too. I put 30 lbs of force with a push/pull guage from the shop on both my 8 wt and 6 wt rods.
Thanks to whomever started that thread. I couldnt locate it today. But you have forever changed my setup and prevented the loss of my flylines.

thanks,
Tony
