Dear Drew,

I personally would not hesitate to book another trip with Cliff Hodges. It wasn't his fault the weather was horrible. He was a really nice guy, and he really tried to get us into fish. To give you a better idea, he was working from the poling platform wearing a snowmobile suit and Sorel boots.

I was praying he didn't get blown off the platform forcing my buddy and I to fish him out of the water. We wound up cutting a full day trip short at lunch time, but he really worked to get that one fish.

The tough part was the week before my trip he had e-mailed me pictures of redfish that they had caught over 40 inches. They were getting 25 pound fish when the weather cooperated. I felt worse for him than I did about having the trip cut short. Like they say, some days you are the bug and some days you are the windshield!

Best Wishes,
Avalon
