Does anyone have a source for the Rusty Orange Australian Opossum dubbing called out in Fran Betters' Ausable Wulff?

Thanks Joe. I had already checked there. They don't have Rusty Orange. I'm trying to get as close to the original tie as possible.

I use Rocky Mtn Dubbing's "Australian Opossum" in 'Rust' #A011. It has a slight bit of synthetic mixed in. One of my favorite dubbings for a 'buggy' look.

I have been pleased with the results.

    Hi gadabout,

If you want to get as close as possible to Fran's dubbing, Get "Awesome Possum" in natural brown and burnt orange (feather-craft carries it). Mix both of these in a 50 - 50 ratio and it will be identical to what Fran sells. He buy's possum by the pound and then dyes it orange. Some pieces are dark, some are lighter. There is no "set" shade, just a range since some pieces are lighter and others much darker depending on where the piece of skin/hair came from the animal that he gets. I bought two fist fulls of hair from him three years ago that had just finished drying of this color.

    Regards,

    Mark

Thanks for all the advice. I emailed Fran earlier. Depending on his reply, I might try Mark's suggestion of blending the two dubbings together.

I have a number of Fran's Ausable Wulffs and they have changed in color alot, some are almost a tan color when other are rust to orange. I tend to like somewhere between the rust and the orange and I think that is kinda what Fran is doing today.

I got a response from Fran and am ordering some of the dubbing from him directly.
