Here is a question I?ve been pondering for some time. I?ll post it also on the Fly Tying Forum. A year or so ago, I bought some Mustad hooks in size 16. When I got home I discovered they had eyes that were turned up instead of down. I haven?t used them yet because I?m not sure how the eye affects the fly presentation. That is basically my question. Do the up turned eyes affect the way the fly floats? Say I was to tie an Adams. How will the presentation be different, if at all, between the up turned and down turned eyes?
Thanks,
Lotech
