Years ago my brothers-in law and I were fishing and caught a car. One of the lines hit a snag and in pulling on the line a tailgate raised up to just below the surface. We were probably in 7 or 8 foot of water. They dove in and checked for bodies, I stayed in the boat...someone had too No bodies but they found some paperwork in the glove box. When we got back to the boat ramp we called the law and found out the car was reported stolen. It was in a cove that had a dirt road that ran up to the water with the bank about 3 or 4 feet above the water level. They must have rigged the throttle and ran it down the road and out into the lake, must have been airborne for a while!
