Is there anything special I need to do to change to a left hand retrieve other than reverse the line? It is currently lined for right hand use and I don't have the parts list or any information about switching. I'd hate to ruin the drag or something by just switching.
I wrote to the manufacturer, but have no idea how long an answer will take.

If it's a basic reel and if it has a click drag and looks like it has two line guide areas, one behind the other, try turning the line around and if everything feels the same go for it.

Then see what the mfg'r has to say.
