    Default heat treating jig

Some time ago I saw an aliminum jig that was used for heat treating bamboo strips for a hex rod. This jig is a length of extruded aluminum with 6 fins, the cross section looked like the shape of an astrix (*). The jig was used for holding strips straight and true during the initial heat tempering. One advantage of this jig is that it could be used to treat single strips that might be needed to replace strips that were damaged during construction.

Anyone know of this product? Anyone know where I can find such a product?
