Default Scotty outriggers for a kayak

Anyone planning on investing on the scotty outrigger system for their kayak. I wonder if you can stand up and cast with the outriggers deployed? I get alot of back pain when I try to fly cast while seated in the kayak any distance.

    Default

There are people who stand in their kayaks without them so with outriggers you should be more than able to stand in your kayak.

There are a few different styles out there. Check them all out.

Have you tried out a different seatback like the Surf to Summit version? Those are some nice seatbacks from what I hear. That might help you with your back more than repeatedly standing and sitting.
