The Red River Fly Fishers have teamed up with Eisenhower State Park to host the fly tying event ?Texoma Tie In? at Eisenhower State Park on the shores of Lake Texoma on Saturday and Sunday, January 27 and 28, 2007.

Everyone is invited to join us for the ?Texoma Tie In?. Admission to the event and to Eisenhower State Park will be free, and you can even fish within the park for free. There will be scheduled activities Saturday and an open tyer?s round-table on Sunday. Sunday everyone is invited to bring their vices and materials for a day of tying in the park?s recreation hall.

9:00am to 4:00pm: Tyer demonstrations at tables
9:00am to 12:00 noon: Beginning fly tying lessons
12:00 noon to 12:50pm: Special Program, "The History of Fly Fishing", Walter McLendon
1:00pm to 1:50pm: Special Program, "Stripers and Bass, Top to Bottom", Ken Bohannon
2:00pm to 2:50pm: Special Program, "Effective Flies for Inland Stripers", Kyle Hand
3:00pm to 3:50pm: Special Program, "Bass and Smallies - Favorite Flies and How to Tie Them", Marc Pinsel

Eisenhower State Park is located on the Texas side of Lake Texoma. Admission to the park will be free to anyone attending the fly tying event.

Directions to Eisenhower State Park: From TX Highway 75 north of Denison, TX. Take Exit # 72 west toward the Denison Dam. The store ?Dave?s Ski and Tackle? is located on this corner. At the edge of the Texas side of the Denison Dam, turn left onto 1310. Follow 1310 to the park entrance.
