    Default 'Saving' FAOL items?

This is neither complaint nor praise. It's a question.
Lately I've not been able to 'save' articles on FAOL to my hard drive. The 'save' goes through it's motions for awhile then says it's unable to save it. Is That a function of the new BBoard? I'm still able to "save" from other sources.
My hard drive isn't all that big but it still has plenty of room. I'd like to be ablel to 'save' some FOTW and some of those delicious recipes, such as LF's recent Chicken Gumbo Soup, which has received high praise recently.
All is not lost. I've printed some of the items, including the soup which will be prepared soon, but would like to be able to commit such things to the hard drive.
Thanks a bunch for any response.

Bill are you trying to save a web page AS a web page? On my mac I have an option which works well and you might have it, too. When I'm on a page I want to save I choose Print and in that dialogue box I can choose save as PDF instead of printing to paper. Works on just about every kind of file I've tried, including webpages.

    Hope this helps.

Using Ducksterman's method you could just send it to your own email. You then wouldn't need a wife.
For God's sake, Don't Quote me! I'm Probably making this crap up!

I'm with Marco! Even though my wife doesn't have a computer, I'll NOT be getting rid of her!

    Thanks for the many responses.

Sorry Diane, my PC doesn't have the capabilities of your Mac.

The idea of mailing the page to myself DOES work. Thanks a bunch for that idea. It's much slower than before since it's a roundabout method, but it works.

I'm still curious about why I can no longer simple hit 'file' in the toolbar and successfully tell it to 'save as'.
    Oh well.........
    Many thanks.

littlebrook? What browser are you using? We haven't made any changes on this end that might affect you being able to save.

    Hi Ladyfisher,
I'm using MS Internet Explorer 6, the program that came with the machine a little over four years ago. If you haven't changed anything I've apparently done something myself.
Being a believer in the KISS principle I don't use a bunch of add-on programs. I have an AV program, Spybot, CCleaner, etc, but the Yahoo toolbar showed up a while back. I deleted it but that may have been the source of trouble. Perhaps it caused a problem. Guess I'll have to go through a bunch of setting boxes in the hope of seeing something awry.
Thanks very much for your response. What a board!!
