Default Different types of spoon flies

I was just wondering, what is the best type of spoon fly? The one that is made from prismatic tape or the one that is made from the tubing? Do the fish like one better than the other?

It all depnds whether you are tying them or fishing them.

With all the epoxy that is needed, tying spoon flies can be a messy proposition.

I have used and tied a various spoon fly patterns. They all work equally well for reds and trout. One drawback is casting them in the wind.

I tend to preferr Cave's Wobbler myself.

PS Used to live down the road from Cleona in Hummelstown. Sure do miss that area of the country.
