2007 MI Fish In Planning Committee Meeting Results

This meeting was very well attended.

Meeting minutes
The meeting started without me, stuck in traffic due to a UM home game in Ann Arbor!! But, I know it was coffee and tales (mostly lies!!)
It was decided that the Casting Contest should be on Thursday as so many have to start for home on Friday or Saturday. This is "Cast" in stone!! The Committee has spoken!! (OK with you JC?)
The Committee was in agrement, after much discussion that the Cook Out would still be on Friday. The V.P,s of Food felt that something like pulled pork, burgers, brats, etc would be the best fare. We the committee would obtain the side dishes, potato salad, beans, chips, etc and charge a nominal fee for dinner. It was agreed that those camping or moteling are hard pressed to provide a dish as it cuts into the FISHIN' TIME!!
Let's see......What am I missing?????.....O Yeah!! When!! Week of July 9th or week of July 16th.
What do you guy's think? Bigger bugs then but could be hot and stormy!

Well, as long as I can get some time off from work I will be there. Though it will be hard to top this years for me but I hope to be able to be there when everone else comes

Will the fish-in be at Rusty's place on the AuSable again? If it is, count me in!!! I go up there every year for the GLC Fly Fishing School on Father's Day weekend, and always look for an excuse to go back. Gotta love those big browns at night and the Hex Hatches, and HUGE gills on Wakely Lake. I'm shivering with excitement just thinking about it. Gotta go start tying Zoo Cougars and Houghton Lake Specials and Roberts Drakes, and Pearl Drakes and....

Good grief! Committee? Planning?? Meeting??? I think for Idaho everyone just shows up and does whatever they want. Of course, Denny and JC had some organized events, but us anarchists just kept fishing.

Well so far I'm really impressed with Jean's ability to lead! She's the secretary but she's already got you submitting the minutes. I wanna be just like Jean!!

Jean is the very best "Secretary and actual group leader" we have ever had! The word is, she may be made it perm. It wuold carry a doubling of salery though.
