As a mechanic I spend allot of money on tools ... I could buy the very best by definition Mack, Snap - on ,but instead I buy Craftsman.Quality tools that last for a better price. If I should break or wear a tool out I just stop at the store on my way home .Drivers of the other companies aren't as reliable and I don't have to chase the truck down when I need to replace a tool . Same with top quality rods I buy the best for function and performance. But at a point there is a trade off warranties and customer service.I don't think I could buy a rod made on Italy and wait weeks for warranty service ... months even . I have one rod thats 500.00 and I don't fish it much ... good thing is I won it not paid for.Great rod casts like a dream just afraid of breaking it.2000 bucks for a rod I couldn't justify.
