    Default CPS Redington

Has anyone cast Redington's CPS series of rods?
I am in the the beginning stages of shopping for a 9' 7wt fly rod. I prefer resonably light weight,3 to 4 piece fast action rod that won't break the bank.

    Thanks

    Hi ok:

I have a CPS rod and its GREAT! I would characterize it as one of my favorite all time rods. I test cast it against a SAGE TCR of the same weight and I couldn't tell the difference. I absolutely love it.

I guide for a Redington shop, so take this for what it is worth.....

I tried all the Redington rods and the CPS was my least favorite. I like all the rods, but the RS3 is my favorite. They cast great and they have a lifetime warranty.

I'd get a RS3 Combo Outfit. Great stuff at really great prices.

Try the TFO series before buying...Ticr or the new Ticr-X. All are in 4 piece and all under 250.00.
