Not sure who originated the pattern but it is a Great Lakes steelhead pattern that has since been adopted by a lot of folks in my area as well. Effective pattern tied in original or traditional globug colors.

I can believe this article as the Fisherman's Paradise section of Spring Creek was the very first flyfishing only section in the country.
Hee-hee. I frequent Dan and Steve's site. Dan's article from a number of years ago does not discuss the originator like Steve usally does. Perhaps he/they do not know it either.
