These flies are flymphs but with shucks instead of tails.
I'll have to wait until next season to try them.

nice flies, i think they'll work
Just because i notice things like that, but do you mash down your barbs before fishing? I'm not looking for an answer, just an open question for anyone to ask themselves. I always mash my barbs before I tie a fly that way I don't forget. Wondering if others have a different system.
Donald,
Truly inspiring. You know when you see something like this you always say to yourself 'why didn't I think of that'? I know why I didn't, but I'm really glad YOU did.
I hope you won't be offended if I shamelessly copy this idea.
I'm going to fool some HUGE trout with this.
Thank you VERY much!
Good Luck!
Buddy
It Just Doesn't Matter....
Donald,
I have been tying&fishing similar design wingless wets/flymps for over a decade now, and in my experience they 1. work very well indeed, and 2. their effectivenes is inversely proportional to the density of the 'sparkle material' shuck. Less is very definitely better!
Your depicted flies are a good balance, sporting a very sparse shuck.
Cheers,
Hans W
