In my opinion, I would not buy a 2 piece rod for the following reason.
1. Hard to travel on airlines, I do not like to check rods unless I have too.

2. Very few people can tell the difference between a 2 piece and a 4 piece when casting. Try doing a blind rod test, with different rods, 2 or 4 piece. Don't let the person see the rod, have them cast it, two things will happen, several lower cost rods will be liked and most people will not know the difference betwee 2 and 4. I have done this several times and the results are the same. Make sure the fly line are the same.

3. I do not believe the mark up between 2 and 4 is different.

My opinion only.
