Default Bass in the fall - what depth????

I'm heading down to Wayne Nat'l. Forest in SE Ohio to fish strip mine ponds this weekend. Any advice on the depth I might find Bass this time of year? Suggestions on Flies would also be welcome.
    Thanks - Rick.
To Miss Nancy - She hated fishing, but loved a fisherman.

Here in Arkansas large mouth bass are schooling up right now and really taking shad type flies. I caught one last Sunday almost 7 lbs. on a Davy Wotton Shad fly.

Right now the Bass are in small pods of two to five fish. They are chasing bait (minnows and shad) in very skinny water. A couple nights ago I was on fish for almost three ours straight and they were taking gurglers, and seaducers very readily.
