Things were great except the usual idiot on a wave runner or waterskiier.
Then someone thought it would be cool to add PERCH to the water.
Well, that plus one year of extreme temps has ruined this lake. The Kamloop are nowhere to be found, rainbow are spotty. Bass, Bluegill and LOTS OF PERCH!
Don't go there anymore, plus the new boat dock and sand beaches just make it a water sport lake instead of trophy waters anymore.
Luckily both of the lakes I frequent are water resevoirs and neither allows water sports like skiing. Boating is limited to fishing boats and on the one lake you can only rent electric motor boats. They are also routinely stocked with trout and catfish. So all in all the fish and the lakes are healthy. I go as often as I can and since I am just learning to fly fish it makes it all the more interesting...
