    Default heading to San Francisco

I well be heading down the way to play Grandpa and to pick up a few thing with the wife. I am interested in meeting some of the foal member in the area for coffee one day. To trade lies with and to put face to handles on the board.

Leaving Portland on the Oct 3 should be in the area by the 5. we are taking our time to get there. We are going to take 2 day to drive down. We plan on being in the area from the 5 through the 9 leaving on the 10 for the drive home.

Hey there Grey Ghost, When in San Fran, stop at the Cafe Buena Vista for an Irish Coffee. They invented it. It's right next to Ghirardellis right at the wharves. And you can fish with the locals off the Municipal Pier just in front of the place too.
    Have a great trip

If time allows, I'd suggest heading over to Golden Gate Park and checking out the Hula Hoop Hatch. Visitors, especially visiting anglers are always welcome.

Ditto the previous response. The Golden Gate Casting club in golden gate park is a really nice place to go and hang out. The casting ponds are fantastic and there are always a few members hanging around to talk with. Take you rod and reel and the grandkids and spend a few hours out there. The club and casting pond is located near the Buffalo paddock.
