A night time fishing report from Lake Taneycomo.. in Branson Missouri...
Last night I meet up with 2 guys from this very board... cctyer and Big Willy...
we had a great time.. they had 2 Generators going at 9pm.. and the fishing starte out tough... but we all ended up with a few fish and had a great time being 3 of the 4 guys on the lake...
here is a brown that was caught by Willy..
and he is one from cctyer...
great looking fish!! what's the fishing like during the day? have been meaning to get to taney for about a year now. just hate making the drive from k.c. if i'm gonna get generated out of being able to fish.
generation has been wierd...
I went lastnight about 9pm... got my waders on... and WHAM.... they blow a horn!!
still caught a few fish... and seen a big brown.. maybe 10-12lbs...
as for as generation goes...they have been running it daily... fishing is still great upto about 2-3 generators... then your stuck in the chutes...

Do you guys have any advice for a fisrt-time night fisher? I will be heading there Oct. 14, the moon will be in the waning phase and should be about half full. I have flyfished for around 6 years, just never night fished before. Just wondering about fly selection, an what type of water is more active at night, shallow riffles or deep holes or the tail end of holes. Thanks.
