I didn't want to sidetrack somones post too far from thier intended result, so I am posting this here.

From what I read on this website, the use of Modulus by Rod Companies is almost just a word used to push and differentiate a product from another product without lessening the properties of the second product when compared to the first in the eyes of the consumer......That said

Leave it to the marketing department to start slinging around a fancy word instead of saying what they mean.

IE:
Rod A will flex less under the same load than Rod B.

Rod A will return to it's natural state (Straight) faster than rod B.

Rod A will bust if bent further than 45 degrees of flex at 450# compared to Rod B. busting at 65 degrees of flex at 300#.

Rod A will bust if bent 45 degrees of flex at 300# compared to Rod B busting at 65 degrees of flex at 300#.

Then in the end it all comes down to personal prefference and style?

I guess personal prefference and style is too hard to market.

I will start my own marketing campaign. Get Gack!!!! My fishing rod has Gack!!! Our fishing rod has more Gack than the competition!!!! Buy the flexon fishing rod or the new flexon with Gack!!!!!
