    Alberto, ...

Good one. The Christmas list will be BIG!, ... now you (the family) need to buy EVERYTHING in double, rods, reels, lines, flies

Oh well, ... there are less important things to spend money on and it's a heck of a lot less expensive than a divorce

    Congrats to your wife.

    Alberto,
OK, give it up... How did you convert her?

    She volunteered...

We both love the outdoors and usually spend time together camping or hiking. The one exception was fishing, so about two months ago she asked me if I would teach her how to fish. Rather than teaching her my bad casting habits, I signed her up for fly fishing lessons and told her I would teach her how to fish after she learned how to cast from a pro.

She loved the casting lesson and was just chomping at the bit to get on the water. I did no fishing that day but has a blast watching her cast. The best moment was when she hooked the first fish, she turned around (full panic mode) and goes, "Oh crap, what do I do now!!!".

    Good times

If there is a possibility, save the fly she caught the fish on. Frame the picture and stick the fly right inside with it.

    Alberto,

Great picture, great smile and great trip. It just does not get any better! You both have something you can do together and enjoy.

Tell her congratulations and warn her that this is just the start of an addiction, but, oh, what an addiction!!

Fly fishing and fly tying are two things that I do, and when I am doing them, they are the only 2 things I think about. They clear my mind.

appreciates what an advantage she has with your

I hope the two of you have nearly as much enjoyment from fishing together as JC and I have over the past 33 years.

gotta agree. I did this with the older son and with the daughter. Then it was a mute point - but even 2 yrs later ..... it brings up memories and conversations.

Congrats on getting your wife going. It makes fishing trips ... different when you share time on the water with family.
