    Default Al Campbell on TV!

Wow! I was reading, but had RFD-TV on without sound. Looked up and saw Al Campbell looking back at me. After overcoming the initial shock I turned up the sound and got about a minute of Al teaching some kids how to fly fish before the segment ended.

The program is called "Dakota Life". The segment was appropriately called "Learning from the Master". I went to the following link for it, but it is dead:

I don't know how hard or expensive it would be in this new fangled and highly updated FAOL site, but I'd sure love it if JC & LF could figure out a way to add this video to the site. I'm sure South Dakota Public Broadcasting must still have the video in their files.

For me, it was only a minute of seeing Al on TV. But it sure meant a lot to me! Darn, I sure miss this guy as much as I appreciate all he did for me in his too short time with us!

Many thanks for posting that link, JC! I had caught only the tail end of the segment on TV. What a treat to be able to see Al and hear his voice again

A person's worth in life, is measure by the legacy they leave behind, when their life is done!

Al Campbell's' legacy is huge, all the lives of people he met, and by doing so touch their hearts. Even those who never personally met Al Campbell have been touched through his articles, fly tying series, rod building series, various fly patterns in "Fly of the Week".

Yes it is nice to see his face again, and to hear his voice. More importantly, he still lives inside all who loved him. ~Parnelli
